Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Phalti Cemetery in Mt. Olive for Peggy Sears who passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, at the age of 79.

Rev. Carroll Rippy officiated. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Peggy was born in Jefferson Davis County to Hilrie and Dixie Magee.  After finishing college, she worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance Company.

Peggy was also a faithful member of Phalti Baptist Church, where she and her husband were very involved with the Royal Ambassadors youth group.  She was also a true Patriot with a deep devotion and love for her country.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Hilrie Q. and Dixie McInnis Magee and her son, Shane Sears.

She is survived by her husband, Norris Sears; two sons, Steed Sears (Jan) of Lumberton and Flint Sears of Petal; one Sister; Beth Boleware of Hattiesburg; two brothers; Jerry Q. Magee and Jack Magee, both of Prentiss; four grandchildren; Dalton Sears, Conner Sears, Blake Sears and Logan Sears and one great-grandchild, Riley Sears.

Visitation was held Wednesday, March 3, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home.
