A 19-year-old was killed just before midnight Friday evening after sustaining injuries in a car accident. JDC Emergency officials were called to a one-car accident on Crossroads Church Road outside of Bassfield. Rafe Saulters was the only occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene. Saulters was a student at Prentiss Christian School for many years before graduating in 2020 from Seminary High School. Services were held for Saulters Sunday in Collins.
