Funeral services were held Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Parish Smith, 65, who died Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at his residence.  Interment followed in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery in Oakvale.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parish Smith was born to the late Mary Smith. He was a member of Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Gulfport.

He attended 33 Elementary School in North Gulfport and Ellisville State School for the blind.

Mr. Smith loved working and helping on the pier, he was a junkman and a jack of all trades and master of none.

He was preceded in death by three siblings; nieces, Tabitha Smith and Cherelle Jones and grandparents, John and Annie Bell Smith and Stonewall Jones.

He is survived by his sister, Francine Polk; brother-in-law, Michael Davis; brother, Toney R. Smith of Gulfport and many other relatives and friends.
