Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered contraband outside the rear of the courthouse.
“The eye in the sky caught them,” said Jefferson Davis County Undersheriff T. C. Cooley. “This was not coming into our jail.”
The contraband was found on three different occasions over the past month, with the latest being found Saturday.
Items discovered were marijuana, crystal meth, drug paraphernalia, cigarettes, cigars, cigarette papers, lighters, a cell phone and a motor from a toy car with its intended use believed to be for a homemade tatoo gun.
“Stop trying to get your stuff into our jail, because we will find it.”
And we are fixing to find you next.”
