Walker named Head of School at Prentiss Christian School

Prentiss Christian School is pleased to announce that Rev. Kevin Walker has accepted the opportunity to become the next Head of School.
Walker has served Prentiss Christian for the past 10 years as a teacher, assistant administrator, Elementary Principal, High School Principal, and most recently as our interim Head of School.
“I am humbled and thankful for the opportunity to lead Prentiss Christian School, said Walker. “It means so much to me and my family. I believe our future is bright.”
Walker was selected as our STAR Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year, and has a total of 15 years of experience working in the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS).
He and his wife, Heather, have three children: Mattie, Allie, and Jack, who all attend Prentiss Christian. Heather also is the school counselor at Prentiss Christian.
Walker graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in English from Mississippi College. He later completed his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University, graduating with distinction with a 4.0 GPA. Currently, he is continuing his education by working toward his Doctor of Education degree at Arkansas State.
Walker is the pastor of Mendenhall Church of God, where he has served for 12 years.

Walker. “Our mission at Prentiss Christian is to develop next generation leaders through a quality education taught from a Biblical worldview. I want each of our students to leave Prentiss Christian School knowing they are ready to make an impact in the world around them.”
