Funeral services were held Friday, June 11, 2021, at Johnny Brister Gymnasium in Prentiss for Mr. Taurus Devon Hill, 43, who died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in Jefferson Davis County.  Rev. Jessie J. Holloway officiated with interment following in South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Taurus Hill was born to the late Joe Earl Williams and Mrs. Belinda Faye Williams.  He spent most of his life in Prentiss. He was a member of Lucas Holiness Tabernacle Church of Christ Holiness USA.

Mr. Hill graduated from Prentiss High School in 1996; after graduating he worked in various positions, including oilfield, manufacturing and commercial truck driving. He was employed with Gilson Trucking in Stockton, California.

He is survived by his wife, Katrasha D. McClendon-Hill of Prentiss; children, Jada Hill, Manyla Carrell, Katerrian Menendez and Micheal Carrell all of Prentiss; mother, Belinda Williams; one brother, Joseph Williams; mother-in-law, Torsha (Larry) Taylor; two godmothers, Jearlean Barnes and Wanda McInnis; grandmother-in-law, Mamie Buckley and many other relatives and friends.
