The second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will
be distributed in Jefferson Davis County next week.
Doses will be administered July 15 in Bassfield at the John H. Thompson Complex and July 16 and 17 in Prentiss at the Ezra Garner Building. The time for all three days will be from 8 a.m until noon.
“If there are those that would like to have their first shot administered, they can do that as well next week, said JDC Emergency Management Director Jocelyn Ragsdale.
Those that do choose to have their first dose administered next week, will need to get their second dose at their local health department or another vaccine location.
No appointment is necessary for the
first or second dose and those participating do not have to go to the same location as the first time.
Anyone 12 years or older is eligible for vaccination. Pfizer two-dose vaccine and Johnson and Johnson single-dose vaccine (for those 18 and older) will be available. No documentation or identification is required.
