Little Angel’s Academy Daycare and Learning Center is now open in Bassfield. A ribbon cutting and grand opening was held Wednesday for the facility at 21 Hawkins Drive. The Center is owned by A’Kia Reese and is open Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Reese was born and raised in Bassfield and is a graduate of Bassfield High School. “It is a pleasure to bring adequate childcare back to my county,” said Reese.
Reese is also working on additional resources she hopes to bring into the county. “This is only the beginning. I am so happy to be able to give back to the county I have grown up in.”
Preschool students will be using Abeka, a Christian based curriculum. “Learning and education are essential.”
The Center provides before and after school care and Reese is working with both Headstart and the elementary school for pick-up and drop-off availability.
Little Angel’s Academy will also be offering tennis lessons free of charge for the children ages 3-12 that attend the Center. Lessons will consist of in-class training to learn the fundamental and educational part of the sport before moving to outside instruction. Enrollment is currently open at the Center, which can accept up to 90 children. Call 601-943-5505 for more information.
