Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Silver Creek, for Ms. Lashunda Byrd, 38, who died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 at South Central Regional Hospital in Laurel. Rev. Michael Smith officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Lashundra Byrd was born to the late Belinda Byrd and Zebedee Davis Sr. She graduated from Prentiss High School. She was employed at Ellisville State School where she was supervisor.

Ms. Byrd was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was married to Jeremy Sanders.

She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Sanders of Ellisville; four sisters, Ressie Davis of Prentiss; Shameka Byrd of Ellisville; Demeteric McCullum of Monticello and Lisa (Joseph) McCullum of Montgomery, AL; three brothers, Zebedee (Elizabeth) Davis Jr. and Lerue (Aniyah) McCullum both of Prentiss; Rondy (Takella) Robertson of Collins and many other relatives and friends.
