Graveside services were held Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 at Griffith Cemetery in Prentiss for Mr. Lee Earnest Boyd, 38, who died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021 at George County Hospital in Lucedale. Rev. Ozell White officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lee Earnest Boyd was born in Pascagoula, to the late Moses and Doris Boyd. He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age. He was a graduate of Prentiss High School and was employed at Sanderson Farms until his health failed.

Mr. Boyd never missed an opportunity to share Christ with others. He was dedicated to the church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Boyd.

He is survived by his sisters, Christian Boyd of Prentiss and Patty J. Boyd of Dallas, Texas; two nephews, Christopher (Latoya) Boyd of Dallas, Texas and Joshua (Shardae) Williams of San Bernardino, California; three nieces, Jessica Boyd of Gulfport; Tiffany Williams of Atlanta, Georgia and Latoya Boyd of Prentiss; one sister-in-law, Setatine Boyd of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
