Keyon S. Ford

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel for Mr. Keyon Shadale Ford, 43, who died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Rev. Eskria Rhodes officiated with interment following in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Silver Creek. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keyon Ford was born to Ms. Ora Jean Ford and Mr. Johnny Williams. He joined Progress Church of God in Christ and later became a member of Outreach Fellowship Revival Center. He attended school in Lawrence County and graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1997. He later went to Copiah Lincoln Community College where he received a scholarship.
He began working with Lily Rose Water Association as a field worker in 2011, and continued until he gained the title of field supervisor. Mr. Ford married Saranda Smith and they joined Holiness Church of God in Christ.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Patrick Cooper and one sister, Keshia Stuart.
He is survived by his wife, Saranda Ford; four daughters, KeOnna Walker, Kierra Ford, Kayleigh Dedeaux all of Monticello and Anna Merritt of Silver Creek; four sons, Brandon Dedeaux of Monticello; Jacob Merritt of Silver Creek; Tray Merritt of West Lincoln and Keyon Ford Jr. of McComb; mother, Ora (Lucius) Daughtry of Silver Creek; father, Johnny (Barbara) Williams of Silver Creek; grandmother, Annie Fay Cooper; three brothers, Anthony (Valerie) Cooper of Silver Creek; Trevonti Williams of Jackson; Lucius Daughtry of Silver Creek; Dayvon Cato of Silver Creek; four sisters, Javall (Mario) Bridges of Silver Creek; Tameka Davis of Moss Point; Tranese Jackson of Oakvale and LaShawn Bourne of Texas; two grandsons; godsister, Shana Thurmond and many other relatives and friends.
