Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at Sweet Beulah Church of God in Christ for Mrs. Lillie Bell Ball Hall, 83, who died Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Elder Leroy White officiated with interment following in Griffith Cemetery in Prentiss. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lillie Hall was born in Prentiss to the late Alonzo and Annie Mae Ball. She was married to the late Homer Hall, Sr. and to this union seven children were born. She attended school at Mt. Carmel Community School and high school at Prentiss Institute. She enjoyed reading her Bible and Sunday school lessons. She worked for many years as a public seamstress and served in the private home for Mrs. Kathy Cloyd.

Mrs. Hall was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Church of God in Christ where she was affectionately known as “Mother Hall.”

She was preceded in death by eight siblings and one daughter, Stephanie Armstrong.

She is survived by six children, Home (Rose) Hall Jr., Denise (Bigum) Ard, Will (Nancy) Hall, Richard (Kathy) Hall, Annie Mae Hall and Jesse (LaKeisha) Hall; three sisters, Addie Anderson, Dorothy Hooker and Bettye Taylor and one brother, James (Roberta) Ball; two sisters-in-law, Margie Goodloe and Elaine (Eddie) Ratcliff; one brother-in-law, Javious (Sarah) Hall and many other relatives and friends.
