Graveside services for Mr. Percy Derwood “P.D.”  Womack were conducted at 11:30 Saturday morning, Jan. 15, 2022, at New Hebron Cemetery. Rev. Ted Bowlin officiated.  Mr. Womack passed away Wednesday, Jan 5, 2022, at the Dream Catcher Assisted Living facility in Jackson, Georgia.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Womack was born April 29, 1928, in Smith County to Wallace G. and Naomi Sanderford Womack and was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Mississippi National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace G. and Naomi Womack; his wife, Dixie Bolling Womack; daughter, Brenda Church and sister, Inez Farmer.

Mr. Womack is survived by two sons, Steve Womack and Mark Berry (Wendy); three daughters, Shelia Morgan (Bill), Jennie Lee Duke and Julie Brunson (Lee); his son-in-law, Robin Church; 10 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
