Mr. Otho McPhail was born on Aug. 10, 1937, in Jefferson Davis County to Monroe Sr. and Bertha Whitehead McPhail.  Otho and his beloved wife, Hazel, were the very best of friends and enjoyed 56 years of marriage.  He took every opportunity to spoil his wife and children, lavishing them with love and attention.  Many happy memories were made taking trips when the children were growing up.  He worked many years in the oilfield and later farmed and drove a truck.  Otho attended Dublin Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and also drove the church bus and picked up children for Sunday School.  His family shared that he especially enjoyed watching Westerns, adding his own story line to the show.  Otho was the definition of a true southern gentleman and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
