Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for Mr. Anthony Eric Collins, 60, who died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Rev. Robert Collins officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Anthony Collins was born to the late F. B. and Berteal Collins; he received his education in Prentiss. He graduated from Prentiss High School and received his Associate Degree from Pearl River Community College.

Mr. Collins worked in multiple industries, but his passion was handling “big rigs”; he was actively employed by Trendsetter Construction Company, Gladwater, Texas. He was a diehard Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He is proceeded in death by one brother, Winfred Bournes.

He is survived by four children, Brittney Collins, Crystal Mikell and Kimberly Mikell all of Hattiesburg; one son, Terrence Funchess of Magee; sister, Calmetta Newsome of Prentiss; brothers, Donald Collins and Kenneth Collins both of Prentiss; three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
