Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Prentiss, Mississippi for Mr. Cephus Williams Jr., 73, who died Friday, March 25, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lakes Medical Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Rev. Wesley Bridges officiated with interment following in Rose Hill Baptist Church cemetery, Silver Creek.

Mr. Cephus Williams Jr. was born to the late Cephus and C. L. Williams in Silver Creek.

He was preceded in death by his son, Themba Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Rubie Williams of Silver Creek; stepchildren, Melvin Barber of Silver Creek and Melissa Jordan of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers,  Robert Williams of Seattle, Washington, Charles Williams of Fulgham, Texas and Bobbie Williams of Silver Creek; sisters, Jannie Williams of Brooklyn, New York, Fannie Williams of Silver Creek and Vanessa Parkman of Monticello and many other relatives and friends.
