Funeral services were held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel for Mr. Eric Truman, 52, who died Saturday, May 7, 2022, at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson. Rev. Amos Bridges officiated with interment following at New Life Fellowship Church in Monticello. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Truman is the son of the late Eddie Herman and Valerie Truman. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Baptist Church in Monticello.

Mr. Truman was an entrepreneur, having his own restaurant, A Taste of Raymond, loved reading, cooking, building antique cars, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Truman of Jackson; sons, Uriel Williams of Phoenix, Arizona, Edgar Peyton, Eric Reeves and Victor Peyton all of Jackson; daughters, Amber Truman of Chicago, Illinois, Elexis Peyton and Erica Peyton both of Jackson; brothers, Jason Truman, Micheal Truman and Damian Burkes all of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Lauren Truman, Nicole Hermon and Tiffany Herman all of Chicago, Illinois; step-mother, Terry Herman of Chicago, Illinois and four grandchildren.
