Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church for Mr. Herman “Man” Holloway Jr., 53, who died Thursday, June 9, 2022, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Rev. Ozell White, officiated with interment following at Mt. Carmel Church of God in Christ.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Herman Holloway Jr. was born to the late Herman Holloway and Mrs. Dewyne Holloway in Brooklyn, New York.  He attended school in New York until he moved to Mississippi and attended Prentiss High School.  He attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Holloway was employed at B. C. Rogers until he became disabled. He met and fell in love with Michelle.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Holloway, aunts, Pearl Allen, Debra Lott and Joyce McCaskill.

Mr. Holloway is survived by his mother, Dewyne Holloway of Prentiss; sisters, Jean Holloway, Marilyn Brown, Vivian (Ronald) Stricklean, Bonnie (Donald) Grant and Virginia Holloway; brother, Kermit Gray and many other relatives and friends.
