Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at New Jerusalem Apostolic Church in Bassfield for Ms. Britten Shacole Leggett, 36, who passed away on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, in Jefferson Davis County. Rev. Melvin Hudson officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Britten Shacole Legget was born to Billy Ray and Mary Leggett. She was a member of New Jerusalem Apostolic Church. She loved playing basketball, baseball, and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Britten Shacole Leggett is survived by hwe daughter, Dayunna Leggett, Hattiesburg; son, Donald Thomas Leggett, Hattiesburg; father, Billy Ray Leggett, Bassfield; mother, Mary Leggett, Hattiesburg; siblings, Patrick F. Leggett, Billy R. Leggett Jr., Kevin L. Leggett, Kendrick C. G. Leggett, Nicholas C. Leggett, Lasha Leggett, and Timothy L. Leggett and many other relatives and friends.
