Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Silver Creek Missionary Baptist Church in New Hebron, for Mrs. Ruby Lee Walker, 100, who passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at her residence. Rev. Jerry Rogers officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Lee Walker is the daughter of the late Willie and Lovie Durr. She was a member of Silver Creek Missionary Baptist Church in New Hebron.

Mrs. Walker was a homemaker who loved cooking, raising children, taking care of family, teaching Sunday School and taking care of her eight grown boys.

She is survived by Willie/Grace Walker, Isaac Walker, Minoso/Katie Walker, Chris/Gayle Walker, Bill/Vivian Walker, Jeffie/Angela Walker, Clint/Erma Walker, Jarvis/Debra Walker; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
