Troy Allen Miles was born on April 7, 1970, in Gulfport, to Ray Allen and Dorothy Chisholm Miles.  A resident of Prentiss for the last 30 years, Troy owned and operated Hit Video in Bassfield and Sumrall until his health declined.  His family remarks that he enjoyed nature and working out in his yard.  In addition, he also liked to play video games and was quite skilled at Final Fantasy, which was one of his favorites.  Troy also had a love for animals, especially his dogs, and was known to take in strays, giving them a home.  He will be remembered as having a passion for reading and research.  Whether it was family genealogy or history in general, he educated himself on the particular subject and as his family has jokingly shared, was quick to lend his opinion on such matters.  Troy not only loved his family, but he also loved to talk to people, was known to enjoy a good prank and always full of life.  He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Jim Miles.

His memory will forever be cherished by his three sons, Dustin Miles of Carson, Dillon Roundtree of Prentiss, Michael Miles of Carson; his mother, Dorothy “Dot” Miles of Prentiss; his sister, Kaneese Bridges (Brad) of Prentiss; his granddaughter, Lynleigh Miles; nephew, Toby Norris, niece, Jessi Carballo; great-nephew, Manny Carballo and great-niece, Ryleigh Carballo.
