Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, 202,3 at Taylorhill M. B. Church in Pinola, for Mr. Jimmie Dale Graves, 65, who passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Jefferson Davis County. Rev. Robert McDuffey officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late C. L. Taylor. He was a member of Taylorhill M. B. Church where he served as a deacon and member of the usher board. He was a member of the Mississippi Baptist Association. Mr. Graves loved reading, hunting, and spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Earlene Graves of Prentiss; son, Donovan (Cherry) Newsome of Braxton; and daughter, Shakira Hall of Prentiss; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
