Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Jefferson Davis County High School Gymnasium in Prentiss, for Mr. Wilbur Lee Myers Jr., 30, who passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, in Texas. Rev. Charlton Johnson officiat-ed with interment following in Sweetwater Methodist Church Cemetery in Bass-field. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of Mr. Wilbur and Mrs. Renee Myers. He was a member of Sweet-water Methodist Church in Bassfield.

Mr. Myers was a supervisor at Wayne Sanderson Farms. He loved all sports and was an avid fan of Miami Heat, Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Jaycee Janay Myers of Gladewater, Texas; parents, Wilbur and Renee Myers of Bassfield; brothers, Timothy (Keyaira) Thompson and Hugh Martin both of Bassfield; a fiancée, Jaquilyn LaShae King and a bonus daughter Mariah Barksdale both of Gladewater, Texas and many other relatives and friends.
