Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Creek, for Mrs. Sina Bell Burkett, 83, who passed away on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at Covington County Hospital in Collins. Rev. Jesse James Holloway officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Annie Lee Rhodes. She was a mem-ber of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church

Mrs. Burkett loved fishing, sewing, babysitting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Ernest (Laura) Williams of Brookhaven; David Wil-liams and Guysell Burkett III both of Prentiss; daughters, Annie Otis and Tabitha Sherman both of Prentiss; brothers, Simon (Diane) Rhodes of Chicago, Illinois; Harold Rhodes and Larry Rhodes both of Prentiss; Frank (Evonne) Rhodes of Prentiss; Elvadus (Sylvia) Rhodes and James Penny both of Hattiesburg; sisters, Wyvonne Oatis, Rochelle Holloway and Annette Rhodes all of Prentiss; Faye Griffith of Monticello; 27 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
