Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at Sweetwater C.M.E Church, in Bassfield, for Mr. Antonio Miguel Jefferson, 53, who passed away on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, at his residence.

Rev. Ernest Lee Thompson officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Leroy and Bobbie Jefferson.

Mr. Jefferson was a former oilfield laborer who loved fishing, traveling, his Mustang, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.

He is survived by his daughter, Angellica Stewart of California; brothers, Ricky Joe (Margaret) Price of Prentiss; Randy (Gayreon) Jefferson of Houston, Texas; sisters, Shelia (Benny) Holmes of Bassfield; Caroline Childs of Gulfport and many other relatives and friends.
