Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023 at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel for Mr. Milton James Batimon, 58, who died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Willie Batimon Jr. officiated with interment following in Blue Springs Cemetery in Columbia.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Milton Batimon was born to the late Dorothy Jean Batimon and Benjamin F. Randolph. 

He was married to Linda Bullock  for many years and was the father of one child, Catera Hathorn.

He worked at Orleans Furniture for many years.

He joined Morning Star Baptist Church at an early age and later moved his membership to Christian Union Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Batimon; niece, Adriana Batimon and stepson, Tracey Bullock.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Batimon of Sumrall; daughter, Catera (Brandon) Hathorn of Bassfield; two sisters, Era (Willie) Harper and Patricia Batemon both of Bassfield; two brothers, Kalvin Batimon of South Carolina and George Batimon of Columbia; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; special friend, Elizabeth Ervin and many other relatives and friends.
