Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in  Silver Creek, for Mr. Louis Calvin Armstrong, 76, who passed away on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023 at his residence. Rev. Moses Johnson officiated. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Elmo and Ella Lee Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong was retired from the sawmill. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Armstrong of New Hebron; son, Steve Armstrong of Melbourn, Alaska; daughter, Tanya Feazell (Kenley) of New Hebron; sister, Ira Jean Weaver of Homewood, Illinois; along with Weiss, Angela and Miquel Perkins; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
