Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, in Prentiss, for Mr. Stanley Berkhalter, 63, who passed away on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at his residence. Rev. James Dampeer officiated with interment fol-lowing in Griffith Cemetery in Prentiss. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Leroy and Helen Berkhalter. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Mr. Berkhalter was a retired laborer who loved playing cards, basketball, softball, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Antonio Gray of Mt. Olive; sisters, Cynthia Berkhalter and Janeria (Becky) Brown both of Prentiss; one grandchild and many other rela-tives and friends.
