Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Creek for Mrs. Minnie Lee Sands Coleman, 66, who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Roy L. Thompson officiated with interment following at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements

She is the daughter of the late Lovell and Inez Sands.

She was a member of Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Creek.

Mrs. Coleman worked in the nursing home housekeeping department.

She enjoyed fishing, cro-cheting, casino entertainment and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her grandson, Da’Mario Bass of Prentiss; granddaughter, Tyeshiea Sands of Prentiss; sisters, Minnie M. Sands, Lillie Sands, and Kathy Armstrong all of Prentiss; four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
