Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, Prentiss, Mississippi for Mr. Robert Lee Herron Herring, 76, who passed away on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at his residence.

Rev. Earnest Thompson officiated with interment following at Wheeler Cemetery in Bassfield. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements

He is the son of the late Jatoy Thompson and Evelyn Price. He attended St. Paul Baptist Church, Bassfield, Mississippi.

Mr. Herring loved traveling, western movies, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Tracy) Herring of Hattiesburg; daughters Jackie (Randolph) Moore of Hattiesburg; Renell Lewis, New Orleans, Louisiana; brothers, Joe L. Price, New Orleans, Louisiana; Lamar Herring, New Orleans, Louisiana; Homer Allen (Audie) Thompson, Clinton; Larry J. (Jean) Thompson, Bassfield; James (Thelma) Thompson, Bassfield; Kenneth (Andrea) Thompson, Baytown, Texas; sisters, Hilda Lawrence, New Orleans, Louisiana; Linda Thompson, Bassfield; Johnny (Penny) Thompson, Bassfield; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
