Hudson Drugs in Prentiss robbed

Just before midnight on May 16, two masked men entered Hudson Drugs on Columbia Avenue in Prentiss. The two males were wearing masks and gloves and were able to get inside the store using bricks to break the front door glass and pharmacy inner window.
“The burglars used the cover of the night and inclement weather to get in and out without detection,” said Prentiss Police Chief Richard Browning. “It’s unfortunate we were not dispatched to the pharmacy as we would have likely caught the burglars in the act,” he said.
According to Browning, these types of cases normally come down to mistakes made and evidence left behind. “Fortunately, they were not the brightest star in the sky,” said Browning.
The Prentiss Police Department is asking for anyone with additional information on this case to call the department at 601-792-5198.
This is the second burglary in the area as Double Ponds Water Association on John Street was robbed in the early morning hours of May 2.
