Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Joyce (George) Funches, 67, who died Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Marion General Hospital in Columbia.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Joyce Funches was born to the late Robert Taylor and Helen Funches. He attended McCullough High School in the mid 1960s. He was a self-taught mechanic.

He was preceded by Robert Taylor and Helen Funches; son, Cameron Henderson; one sister, Louise Parkman; three brothers, John Lee Funches, M. L. Funches and Robert Lee Funches.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Griffin; special friend, Barbara Henderson; son, Lontrail (Yolanda) Griffin of Monticello; three sisters, Gennieve Lindsey of Silver Creek; Susanne Funches of Chicago, Illinois and Darlene Thompson of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, Theodore (Debra) Funches of Jackson; Lawrence (Dora) Funches and Tony Funches both of Silver Creek.
