Funeral services were held Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel for Mr. James” Julio” Clayton Walker, 66, who died Monday, July 1, 2024, at his residence.

Rev. James Holloway officiated with interment following at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prentiss.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James Walker was born to the late J. D. Walker and Nora (Daniel) Magee. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. 

Mr. Walker was a masonry laborer who loved working in his yard, caring for his pets and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by Kendrick Walker and Parish Walker both of Prentiss; Eric Hickman of Washington; Julio Walker, James Walker II and Felipe’ Walker all of Gulfport; Sandra Holloway of New Port News, Virginia; brother, Tyrone Magee of Prentiss; sisters, Laura McNair of Mt. Olive; and Marian Magee of Prentiss and many other relative and friends.
