Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Springhill Bapitst Church, in Silver Creek, for Mrs. Algine McCullum Donaldson, 78, who died Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at her residence. 

Rev. Roy Thompson officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Algine Donaldson was born to the late Major and Hattie Robertson.  She graduated from Oakland High School and worked as a seamstress at various sewing factories.

She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Donaldson was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Donaldson; two sisters, Maudie Mae Malone and Mary Pearl Robertson; brother, Edward Earl Robertson; son, Brandon McCullum.

She is survived by six children: Ressie Davis, Zebedee (Elizabeth) Davis Jr., Rondy (Takella) Robertson, Lisa (Joseph) Banks, Lerue (Taneka) McCullum, and Demetric McCullum; one sister, Eliza Jane Robertson; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; special niece, Aline Fortes and many other relatives and friends.
