Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at Fair Hill Baptist Church, in Oma, for Miss Kevinisha Renee McGhee Travis, 24, who died Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, in Lawrence County.
Rev. Glen Smith officiated with interment following at Pleasant Valley Church in Oma.
Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Miss Kevinisha Travis (Nena Bell) was born in Brookhaven, to Mr. Kelvin and Mrs. Renee Travis.
She was a member of Fair Hill Baptist Church where she sang in the youth choir. She loved watching her favorite basketball team, Golden State Warriors and football team, New Orleans Saints, Lawrence County Cougars and hanging out with her father.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother Leanna Walker; maternal grandfather, Larry Smith; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann McGhee; paternal great-great grandmother, Tressie Lee May; paternal grandfather, James Killingswoth and uncle, Quincy Travis.
She is survived by her parents, Kelvin and Renee Travis; paternal grandmother, Ethel Killingsworth; paternal great-grandmother, Fannie Travis; maternal step grand-father, Bobby Ray Taylor; four sisters, Erineshia Allison, Dymanisha McGhee-Travis, LaCreesha McGhee-Travis, and Janna Spencer; special sisters, Taylor Benson, Alannah Pittman, Kennedy King and Disha McGhee and many other relatives and friends.
