Dorothy Mae McDonald

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at Shorts Chapel Methodist Church in Bassfield, for Mrs. Dorothy Mae McDonald, 87, who died Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at her residence.  Rev. Johnny Porter officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. 

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dorothy Mae McDonald was the tenth child born to the late John and Suzie Green. She received her formal education in Columbia, graduating from J. E. Jefferson High School. She was a member of Shorts Chapel Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Willie J. McDonald; sons, Ricky and Terry McDonald; brother, John Greeen Jr; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
