Earl Martin

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for Mr. Earl Martin, 86, who died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at his residence.
Rev. Robert Collins officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.
Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Earl Martin was the son of the late Rudolph and Martha Martin.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ira, Eural and Ervin Martin; sister, Stella Mae Moses and Dorothy Tripp; two grandchildren: Hillard Williams and Shawn Martin and sister-in-law, Barbara Martin.
Mr. Martin worked in many professions, managing the old Woolworth department store, chemical operator at Mississippi Phosphate, operator at International Paper Company and security guard at Sweatman Security.
His final employment was managing rental properties for his bonus son, Datren Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mena Martin; daughters, Sharmane (Roosevelt) McInnis of Pensacola, Florida; and Jakarra Williams of Moss Point; sons, Shawn Martin of Ocean Springs; Fred (Shantez) Martin of Marietta, Georgia; bonus son, Tyreece Williams of McKinney, Texas; Datren (Maya) Williams of The Woodlands, Texas; and Ledelious (Sheena) Little of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Betty (Andrew) Banks; 10 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Carroll Dean Gentry
Carroll Dean Gentry, 66, of Prentiss, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at his residence in D’Lo, Ms. He was born Oct. 15, 1958.
Carroll was preceded in death by his father, Lee M Gentry, his mother, Arlene Gentry, and one sister Sharon Bullock.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lisa Bacon Gentry, daughter, Stacey Melton, sister, Glenda (Terry) Atwood, brothers, James ( Peggy) McInnis, Randy (Debbie) Gentry, and David ( Kelly) Gentry.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
