Hood Industries in Silver Creek recently kicked off their Toys for Tots campaign. The drop-off location will accept new, unwrapped toys only. It is the only drop-off location in Lawrence County. There is not a drop off location in Jefferson Davis County and it is the only location in Lawrence County. Hood Industries is located at 66 Miles Lumber Company Road in Silver Creek. The campaign will run through Nov. 22.

Toys for Tots, a 74-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness, and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence, and a positive memory for a lifetime.
