Prentiss Institute Alumni Sapphire Fundraiser reaches goal

The Prentiss Institute National Alumni Association (PINAA), under President James E. Jenkins, has worked diligently this year to support efforts by the Prentiss Institute Board of Trustees who have struggled financially to meet capital expenses related to operations, insurance and maintenance of the Prentiss Institute campus.

In October, the PINAA launched the Sapphire Fundraiser Campaign, reaching out to alumni and supporters with a plea for contributions at donor levels of $500 (Sapphire level), $250 (Gold Level), $100 (Silver Level), or any other amount that they could give.

The response was astounding in this tough economic environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic and donations continue to trickle in after the campaign ended on Nov. 9, 2020.

“We are forever grateful,” said James Jenkins.

Alumni are encouraged to contact other alumni to get involved to support their beloved PINAA.

A GoFundMe Page organized by the Prentiss Institute Partnership, led by Dr. Arthur Cribbs, will be launched early next year to bring in additional funds to support future plans for Prentiss Institute.
