Time to sign up for baseball and softball in Prentiss

Registration is now taking place for baseball and softball with Prentiss Youth Sports.
Registration forms are available at Prentiss City Hall and the Prentiss Public Library.
Registration will also be held this Saturday at the Longleaf Trace Park in Prentiss beginning at 9 a.m.
The deadline for registration for ages 3-12 is Feb. 22. The deadline for ages 13 and up is March 14 as they must complete high school ball before registration.
Baseball teams will be decided based on player’s age as of May 1.
Softball teams will be decided based on player’s age as of Jan. 1.
Team selection is planned for the week of Feb. 22. Games will start on March 22.
Baseball games for 3-12 will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights with the first game beginning at 6 p.m.
Softball games will be played on Monday and Friday nights with the first game starting at 6 p.m. Some games will be held on the weekend.
Games for those 13 and up will be scheduled after it is determined the number of teams in the league. Games for those 13 and up will be scheduled after it is determined the number of teams in the league.
Coaches are also needed for all age groups.
The registration fee is $65 per player. Cash and checks will only be accepted.
