Willliams Lunch Box Café is now open in Prentiss.
The restaurant is owned by James Williams. Williams owned Williams’ Good Ole Days Buffet adjacent to the Jeffersonian in Prentiss for many years before it burned July 6, 2023.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting was held April 4.
The restaurant is located at 1733 Columbia Avenue and has been completely renovated.
This location once housed the Dairy King, Kuntry Kitchen and Best Wok restaurants.
The Lunch Box is open Monday through Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. It is closed on Sunday.
Menu items include burgers, hot wings, hamburger steak, chicken tenders, club sandwiches, grilled chicken, hot dogs, shrimp, catfish and pan trout.
It also includes barbecue items such as ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken and hot links.
There are several sides to choose from such as baked beans, potato salad, onion rings, fries, slaw, okra and turnip greens, as well as pie, cake and cobbler for dessert.
