A municipal swearing-in ceremony has been planned for the newly elected officials in Bassfield and Prentiss.

Officials in Prentiss will be sworn in June 27 at 1 p.m. at Prentiss City Hall.

Fifteenth Circuit Court Judge Prentiss Harrell will administer the oath.

Tony Waits will take over as Mayor of Prentiss. Serving as aldermen will be Rhonda Bayles, Holley Cochran, Willie Davis, Moochie Speights and Becky Williamson.

The Bassfield ceremony will be held June 30 at 6 p.m. at Bassfield City Hall.

Administering the oath to the newly elected Bassfield officials will be District 2 Supervisor Ricky Barrett.

Angie Ladner will begin her second term as mayor. Serving as aldermen will be Lisa Blount, Will Daley, Will Hendry, Ken Roberts and James Speck.

Boards were set after the municipal elections held in Prentiss and Bassfield on June 3.
